The Youngcoder Platform on the BETT Show 2011

On 12-15 January 2011 ProgMan S.A. company took part in the biggest education technology show BETT (British Education Training & Technology).

This year's show was the 26th edition and the company's second appearance as an exhibitor. London BETT Show is the largest event devoted to the best educational practices, resources, education technologies, hardware and software. The show favours the exchange of experiences in terms of the use of new information-communication technologies in education.

This year's show hosted more than 700 exhibitors from all over the world, who presented their ideas and solutions for advanced ICT technologies in education. 100 seminars were conducted. The show was visited by nearly 30 thousand visitors representing all types of schools: from nursery schools to universities. These included teachers, school principals, bursars, people interested in education, consultants or ministers and local authorities' representatives.

During the show the visitors of the Company's stand (Stand W29, National Hall Gallery) had an opportunity to see the platform inside, learn its functions and benefits of the Youngcoder platform (www.youngcoder.eu).

This year's BETT Show was accompanied, for the first time, by the UK Education Leaders Conference. The conference lasted 2 days (13th and 14th January) and was an unquestionable opportunity to raise discussions by leading companies from the education sector on many planned changes initiated by the British Government. At the conference the visitors learnt about new educational strategies and took part in a debate on the direction of educational activities and their effect of the quality of teaching. They also learnt about the impact of unpaid schools on education, and obtained much valuable information on how to effectively realize the investments in new technologies and apply changes within schools.
